The interactive crop calendar and monitoring map, a product of the GEOGLAM Initiative at the University of Maryland, provides a transparent, multi-source assessment of international crop growing conditions, crop status updates, and agro-climatic conditions likely to impact global food production. This tool covers four primary crop types (wheat, maize, rice, and soy) within major agricultural regions throughout the world. Users can filter by crop, country, and date.

The GEOGLAM Initiative is designed to build on existing agricultural monitoring programs at the national, regional, and global levels and to enhance and strengthen these programs through international networking, operationally focused research, and data/method sharing.
