Food and Fertilizer Export Restrictions Tracker

Our export restriction tracker continues monitoring food and fertilizer trade policies by the countries. We have continued to reconcile our database on food and fertilizer export restrictions, incorporating a number of missing export restrictions from other sources such as those maintained in WTO. In this effort, we have identified 39 export restrictions measures that were missed and now added to our tracker. Among these, 15 measures are currently active in combination of licensing, ban, taxes. These are:
  • Ukraine: cattle, beef, chicken, eggs, rye, buckwheat, millet, sugar, chemical and mineral fertilizers, oats, buckwheat.
  • Turkey: poultry meat, edible offal, potatoes, onions, sunflower oil, soybean oil, sunflower seeds, cottonseed oils, rapeseed, mustard oil, corn oil, margarine
  • Russia: sunflower seed oil cake, sugar
  • Kyrgyzstan: wheat flour, wheat and meslin
  • India: de-oiled rice bran, sugar, molasses
  • Botswana: corn, sorghum
  • Belarus: wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, buckwheat, millet, triticale, crushed grain, sunflower seeds, rapeseed
  • Bangladesh: pulses, shrimps, onion, garlic, ginger
A total of 30 export control measures are currently active, of which 15 were newly added.
